In order to register for the Medical Marijuana Patient Registry, let’s make sure you have a qualifying medical condition.

Refer to our list of Qualifying Medical Conditions.

1. REGISTER FOR THE PROGRAM

Visit the state website to create a profile. To register for a profile, you must have a Pennsylvania Driver’s License or state-issued ID card.

You will need to provide some basic information for your profile:

  • Legal Name
  • Current Address
  • Contact Information
  • Driver’s License or Photo ID Number

2. REGISTER FOR THE PROGRAM

Click here to schedule an appointment with an approved physician.

Visit one of our approved physicians to certify you suffer from a qualifying medical condition. Our physicians will review your medical records and past treatments for your condition. Your physician will be able to submit the certification into the Medical Marijuana Registry. You will receive an email to let you know this step has been completed.

Note: Anyone under the age of 18 will require a caregiver.

3. PAY FOR YOUR CARD

Once you have been certified by an approved physician, the next step is to pay for your card.

Login into the Medical Marijuana Registry or click the link in your email to pay for your card. The cost of a medical marijuana ID card is $50. (Patients who participate in state assistance programs may be eligible for fee reductions.)

Once your payment is processed, you’ll receive an email to let you know your card is in the mail!

4. VISIT A DISPENSARY

Now that you have received your card, you can head over to any licensed dispensary. Be sure to give yourself extra time on your first visit and have your Medical Marijuana Card and Photo ID ready. Some dispensaries require cash only, see a list of dispensaries here. Here you will meet with a pharmacist to map out the products best suited for you and go over how to use them.
